As you seek to gain perspective and balance in the area of your life known as your time, realize that He’s the One who holds the prescription for all the negative influences infecting your life. He would love to wrap His arms around your weary days and bring you to wellness and real life.
And yes, sometimes it seems that God is the One who keeps you waiting, that your prayers go unanswered and your problems go unsolved and you just can’t feel His presence. But God, after all, operates on His time schedule and not ours.
He sees the big picture, and though He doesn’t take orders from us, He always gets there right on time. Best of all, He brings His healing presence, which is what we really need.
Not more time.
Not more hours in the day.
But healing for our hurried hearts and minds and bodies so that we can make the best use of the time we have. And make no mistake. Hurry can indeed be a sickness—or at least a symptom. It’s a recognized syndrome, a contributor to all sorts of physical and emotional ailments—from anxiety to strokes to heart disease. If you look around, you will see that most of us drive ourselves beyond capacity.
